Lara Beekhuis receives NFHCA Scholar of Distinction Honors

 

 A quartet of Harvard field hockey student-athletes earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association Scholar of Distinction honors. Student-athletes who maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.9 or higher through the previous semester are eligible for Scholar of Distinction honors.

Lara Beekhuis, a midfielder from Laren, Netherlands, captures Scholar of Distinction honors in her first season in Cambridge. Beekhuis tallied 10 goals and two assists in her inaugural Harvard campaign, as her two goals pushed the Crimson to a 2-1 win against Princeton in the Ivy League Tournament Final. Beekhuis’ is currently undecided in her concentration.
