Julian Rip - Strength & Conditioning Coach
Julian helps guide and prepare athletes for the physical demands of the strength and conditioning programs they are about to enter in the US. High school and college teams require all players to follow a strength and conditioning program, something most young athletes have never been exposed to.
Julian, a Dutch native, is a former UStudy baseball student-athlete. He has firsthand experience of the process and was awarded a scholarship at one of the top junior colleges in the nation. After a successful career in the NJCAA, he earned a spot playing at NCAA D1 University of South Carolina Upstate, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree. In his senior year he was ranked #87 in the nation and ranked #40 senior in the nation. He was also an All-Conference Player in the Big South Conference. In addition, he won multiple Player of The Week selections and nominations and was the recipient of the Joe Bowman Award, an award which recognizes outstanding career performance on and off the field. Julian has represented the Dutch national baseball team for years, winning three European Championships (U18-U23-Seniors), while also representing Europe twice for Team Europe U18.
Julian is CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) certified, which is considered the ‘golden standard’ in the strength and conditioning field and highly respected throughout the world. He currently works as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in the US. During his mentorship he also gained experience working at FC Utrecht as an S&C coach, working with U-16,17,18 and Jong Utrecht.
Julian lives in South Carolina, but regularly travels back to the Netherlands in the summer.
